As soon as he took the assignment, architect Lee F. Mindel recognized that his first priority must be to respect the integrity of Meier’s glass curtain wall. Nothing he added should abut it or block the extraordinary vistas it opened. The apartment lies at an ideal level above the Hudson River—the water, wood piers, and a flowing ribbon of highway seem to come right into the living room. “You see pedestrian traffic, vehicular traffic, and boat traffic,” Mindel says. “The city and the river become an animated ballet.”

Translation is a process and the result of turning a text from one language into another, which means expressing the same by the signs of a different language. Bearing in mind that every sign has two planes (plane of expression and plane of content) the essence of translation could be described as changing the elements of the plane of expression while the plane of content remains constant.
The language of the original text is called "source language", the language into which the text is translated is called "target language" (the corresponding Russian terms are "исходный язык" and "переводящий язык").

London - the capital of Great Britain When we think of Paris, Rome. Madrid, Lisbon and other European capitals, we think of them as cities. When we think of the whole of modern London, the capital city of England and the United Kingdom, that great area covering several hundred square kilometres, we do not think of it as a city. not even as a city and its suburbs. Modem London is not one city that has steadily become larger through the centuries; it is a number of cities. towns, and villages that have, during the past centuries, grown together to make one vast urban area. London is situated upon both banks of the River Thames, it is the largest city in Britain and one of the largest in the world. Its population is about 7 million people. London dominates the life of Britain. It is the chief port of the country and the most important commercial, manufacturing and cultural centre.

Nowadays advertising became an integral part of human society, an element of its culture. For some time advertising is present everywhere, most of the information channels burdened with advertizing mediums or even paralyzed by them. Television, radio, newspapers, magazines, and internet – all in varying degree keep in balance the traditional media and advertising: the thing that we are interested in and what should be interesting for us. Advertisement can be viewed as a form of communication that tries to translate the quality of goods and services, and ideas on language needs and consumer demands. And these are not simple relations.

The Middle Ages encompass one of the most exciting periods in English History. England and the English, or at least their rulers, have been the dominant power in the British isles for a long time. We recognize this every time we use the phrase "Queen of England." There is no title "Queen of England" today - Elizabeth is Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. But England has absorbed the other cultures of the British islands, and the mix of institutions, language, and ideas we call British has a predominant English element. If we want to understand the British heritage in the English-speaking countries of the world, we must understand England first.

Human migration is physical movement by humans from one area to another, sometimes over long distances or in large groups. Historically this movement was nomadic, often causing significant conflict with the indigenous population and their displacement or cultural assimilation. Only a few nomadic people have retained this form of lifestyle in modern times. Migration has continued under the form of both voluntary migration within one's region, country, or beyond and involuntary migration (which includes the slave trade, trafficking in human beings and ethnic cleansing).

The banks are preparing to abandon the policy that investors get one euro back for every one they put in as government bond yields near record lows make it harder for the funds to generate returns.
A money-market fund failing to repay investors in full is said to “break the buck” and is forced to shut down.

Mood is a grammatical category of the verb, which is used to express speaker’s attitude towards the action expressed by the verb from the point of view of its reality. There are three moods in the English language: the indicative mood, the imperative mood and the oblique mood (which is also called the subjunctive mood).
The Indicative Mood is used to represent an action or state as a real fact and affirms or negates its existence in the present, past or future; it has two aspect forms (common and continuous) and two voice forms (active and passive).
