Good morning. My name is Anastasia. I am a representative of «Transaero Airlines». My aim is to tell you the most important information about the company. Firstly I’ll tell you about the history of the company. It will get about 3 minutes. Secondly I’ll tell you about present situation of the company, and in conclusion about our prospects for development. After my report you can ask me your questions.   So, let me start.

Transaero was incorporated as a joint stock company on September 30, 1990

Transaero operated its maiden flight on Moscow – Tel Aviv route. During the first years of its operations, Transaero focused on developing its Russian and CIS network using Boeing aircraft. Transaero pioneered the use of international service standards in the domestic market to provide its passengers with Business class service on domestic routes. This company developed very quickly and successfully. In 2006 Transaero Airlines was officially registered in Saint-Petersburg. That’s why the airline has paid special attention to the development of its network from Saint-Petersburg. Leading the market with its client-oriented policy, in 2009 Transaero was the first airline in Russia to operate Boeing 777s and to provide First Class service on domestic routes. As a result of our efficient work, today Transaero is the second-largest Russian airline in terms of passenger turnover.

Now moving to the second part of our report I’d like to say about our present situation in details.

Transaero Airlines is a dynamic, innovative Russian airline offering the highest international service standards and safety operations. As you know, Transaero is Russia’s second largest passenger airline in terms of passenger turnover and the Russia's Number 1 leisure carrier.

Currently Transaero operates a fleet of 46 aircrafts. The airline is the only operator of Boeing 777 aircraft as well as the first and the only operator of Boeing 747 passenger aircraft in Russia, the CIS and Eastern Europe. Besides, Transaero signed an agreement to purchase 10 Tupolev 214 to support Russian industry. 

Transaero operates scheduled and charter flights from hubs in Moscow and Saint Petersburg to about 80 destinations in Europe, Asia, Africa and North America.

In 2009 Transaero devotes special attention to the development of its domestic travel network by increasing flight frequency and launching new routes. Transaero’s management system corresponds to all international quality standards and is ISO certified (ISO 9001:2000). The airline is also certified by Russian, European, and US authorities to perform maintenance and repair operations on its own Russian and foreign built aircraft.

As you know, Transaero holds leading positions in e-marketing: it is the first full service Russian airline to launch e-ticketing and on-line check-in.

Speaking about our service, Transaero can offer varies ways of service. Luxury Imperial class can be offered only by this company.

  So, the main result of our operation during the summer months was overcoming the general negative trends in the sector spawned by the global financial crisis.  Our specialists from financial and marketing department created the program and special crisis policy to avoid losses.

In conclusion, speaking about our prospects, I can mention, that our efficient wok can give us an opportunity to penetrate some sectors of domestic market because small Russian companies went bankrupt.  Our main competitor is Aeroflot. In order to win the market competition we try to create new USP and improve the quality.

Our cooperation with European companies can help us to have stable positions on oversees market. As you know, Transaero has signed a code share agreement with Austrian Airlines and BMI.

Now we are preparing for summer. We plan to offer our passengers unique service on regular flights to different countries.
