Can you please advise on ability to break-down for shipping and subsequent re-assembly. Not sure I need all of it but perhaps a trillion pebbles and I can on-sell the balance (for a dollar a 'throw'). Does it run on batteries or is it self-propelling (gravity)? clax (60 ) 1:58 pm, Mon 28 Feb
Dear reader, happy for you to break down on site, but please mind the furniture. Rocky is self propelled, likes to rock and roll and is looking for a new roll! 2:12 pm, Mon 28 Feb
cos if u don't laugh u cry :-) thanks for support 9:10 am, Wed 2 Mar
Its a shame you don`t have a classic Jag driving GOOD lawyer in the family to help you to sort this intruder out ! laverda (1108 ) 12:04 am, Wed 2 Mar

I'll second that! 9:11 am, Wed 2 Mar
Hi There, Do you think there is any possibility that Rocky may have hidden talent as an instructor? I have a dog that is digging holes in my yard but they are quite small in comparison to the one I see Rocky dug prior to his retreat to the garage. I'd like to put in a swimming pool. I figure if my dog could learn to make such a large hole as fast as Rocky did, then I could have my pool, easy, by next Summer. BTW. I think Rocky is an out-doorsie type. Sure I saw him in Picnic at Hanging Rock. lesliegirl (11 ) 1:15 am, Wed 2 Mar
just as long as he does not sit on your dog u will be fine...he nearly sat on our 11 year Lab! 9:12 am, Wed 2 Mar
Has Rocky ever considered entering politics? Would he consdier a career as a SE Asian dictator? Steve, Cambodia trist020 (17 ) 1:42 am, Wed 2 Mar
Well Steve....I reckon he is far to mellow for that :-) 9:13 am, Wed 2 Mar

Dear Phil, I assume you are acting as Rocky's agent. We at Mastercard would like to use him in our latest ad. "Rocks for the fishpond, $5, Stones for the fence, $1000... Your own pet rock in the living room... Priceless. There are some things money can't buy... for everything else, there is Mastercard" PS. Love what you've done with the indoor outdoor flow - and that Rocky is sure a chip off the old block! kelzone (4 ) 7:02 am, Wed 2 Mar
thanks.....and if the real mastercard is out there...LETS SEE YA CHECKBOOK :-) 9:14 am, Wed 2 Mar
Just a quick question: Are you sure Valarie Adams hasn't been down there having a lil "stone's" throw?? Kia Kaha & God Bless - you have given me a =) x jmori (76 ) 7:04 am, Wed 2 Mar

do you have a matching Bullwinkle? alasda1 (12 ) 7:55 am, Wed 2 Mar
ummm - maybe! 9:16 am, Wed 2 Mar
Why didn't I think of this before? PETER JACKSON and his Hobbit movie. Can you picture our boy decked out in makeup and being fussed over by wardrope (my maiden name actually) He would be paid Equity (?)rate, health ins. etc. Just think he would be up on the big screen (all of it). Just the residuals make me giddy. Rocky could stand in front of Peter if the big honchos came from Hollywood with their hands out. Blarney Stone has nothing on our Rocky! Stardom!!!!! glesga (122 ) 8:17 am, Wed 2 Mar
Well Peter knows him, he had a bit part in LOTR. PETER - WHERE ARE YOU????? 9:17 am, Wed 2 Mar
I'm loving this Rocky horror picture show! Rock on!! viksta (481 ) 8:39 am, Wed 2 Mar
Horror - what horror....actually its just a jump to the left 9:18 am, Wed 2 Mar
Hey, I can't get the Facebook link to work. What's the name of the page? Also, I think people are serious about wanting to buy bits of Rocky and pics with Rocky on other auctions. Have you thought about listing them with buy nows so you can raise more for the Earthquake fund? tandm (174 ) 8:41 am, Wed 2 Mar
worked for me...try copy and paste into your browser or lock for Rocky or go to my company CommArc and there is a link from there. 9:19 am, Wed 2 Mar
Who knew that 'Rock'ie and Roll could be so devastating to your home? It has a lot to answer for, but nice to see Rockie and roll has not been a dying artform... From our family here in Whangarei who are praying for all Cantabrians,( sorry if I spelt it wrong) Good luck with the auction and repairs to your home and lives! God Bless. marty71nz (265 ) 8:47 am, Wed 2 Mar
thanks bud, used to spend a bit of time in the far north - beautiful place....and even better its full of fellow Kiwis!!!! 9:19 am, Wed 2 Mar
I have asked Oblix and he said he could deliver it anywhere in new zealand for the price of 15 wild boars. gohard10 (33 ) 8:48 am, Wed 2 Mar
not sure what I would rather have in my hallway though? 9:20 am, Wed 2 Mar
hi, Would love to bid on Rocky...but I am a stickler for manners when it comes to inviting myself over to anyones house. At the very least I would try to phone ahead and..well..I'm sorry but this guy shows he has no class whatsoever.... (thinking of ya from a fellow Chcher) shadyladynz (25 ) 8:49 am, Wed 2 Mar
well he did make a fair bit of noise b4 he arrived 9:20 am, Wed 2 Mar
Did Rocky have his first break with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band? Didn't he originally sing "Country Roads, Take me Home"? He was a support band for the Rolling Stones, I'm sure I've seen a poster of Rocky with Mick. Good luck with the auction, it's a great idea and fabulous to see such a great sense of humour! negoti8r (71 ) 8:58 am, Wed 2 Mar
thanks bud 9:21 am, Wed 2 Mar
I see in picture three there is a cannister of KERO next to Rocky. Why dont you shoot the kero container and blow Rocky's guts all over the place just like they did in the first JAWS movie. firstbubs (121 ) 9:01 am, Wed 2 Mar
but I LOVE him!!!! 9:21 am, Wed 2 Mar
For the first time in a week I've cried laughing.....thank you and good luck! jankiwi (36 ) 9:05 am, Wed 2 Mar
you are welcome....enjoy....and just think of my bleeding fingers :-) 9:22 am, Wed 2 Mar
I think you could make a story out of this rock sale, especially with the question and answers, good luck and keep rocky safe. dinkus (39 ) 9:07 am, Wed 2 Mar
he is pretty famous already u know - TV, Radio, newpapers...Rocky is HOT, HOT, HOT. We are just waiting for Womans day and a wedding deal now :-) 9:23 am, Wed 2 Mar
My husband works at Basalt Quarries and splits up rocks like this all the time for Timaru Bluestone Industries. He has a chemical compound and I'm not really sure how he does it but no heavy machinery is needed. Do you want him to give you a ring? pete42 (16 ) 9:23 am, Wed 2 Mar
Hi there, thanks for this but we are red stickered and the valley is blocked off. To be honest, the house is so damaged I am not sure what will happen next. Thanks for your support though :-) 9:41 am, Wed 2 Mar
I have just clicked on "More Stuff you may like..." and the stones they have have a $2 coin beside them to show the actual size. I can't see one in your photos? (thanks for making me smile again!) pandhs (368 ) 9:24 am, Wed 2 Mar
:-) .... Well there is our fab neighbour Tracey for scale 9:42 am, Wed 2 Mar
Fantastic - good on you for being positive - love and light to you and all in christchurch ... mheart (24 ) 9:24 am, Wed 2 Mar
thanks :-) 9:42 am, Wed 2 Mar
Judging by the type of rock he is and his complection, I think Rocky may have a heart of gold. mickyme (7 ) 9:54 am, Wed 2 Mar
not sure about that....possibly a heart of stone 10:17 am, Wed 2 Mar
Love your work!! All the best with trying to persuade Rocky to leave home! Stay safe.. sonz2 (98 ) 9:55 am, Wed 2 Mar
thanks 10:17 am, Wed 2 Mar
AWW come on Rocky shouldn't be leaving the South, now that he's made his mark it's obvious he's got to be next to the Cathedral in the Square, a kind of shrine. Then we could all come and see him. I 'm writing to the PM.... pd111 (161 ) 10:00 am, Wed 2 Mar
damn good idea - tell him to start rebuilding our town while u r at it :-) 10:18 am, Wed 2 Mar
hi, was just wondering what freight to the uk would be? a guesstimate will be fine. your awesome dude, keep up the great work best of luck to you and rocky, u might be pleased to hear ur fellow kiwis in the uk are having a massive laugh jack520 (29 ) 10:12 am, Wed 2 Mar

urban myth sorry 10:56 am, Wed 2 Mar
He seems a tad aggressive. Does he suffer from distemper? Does he respond to discipline? mdi (352 ) 10:39 am, Wed 2 Mar
not sure - but I sure as hell do :-) 10:56 am, Wed 2 Mar
Is Rocky available to play for the Phoenix? They are looking for a new striker and Rocky looks the goods. heather79_nz (1 ) 10:45 am, Wed 2 Mar
maybe we should donate this to Terry? 10:57 am, Wed 2 Mar
Zis is Russian rock vich has escaped from the Siberia. Vee vill come to take back him. Do not try to stop us !! He must return. Do you take the rouble ?? mickyme (7 ) 10:50 am, Wed 2 Mar
Hi Vich No Rouble sorry - would prefer oil, or perhaps Chelski football team. 10:59 am, Wed 2 Mar
I expect Rocky is feeling much more subdued now he isn't living on the edge.....I couldn't resist sending your link to The Rolling Stone magazine. Want a T Shirt please. waynebeau (414 ) 10:50 am, Wed 2 Mar
thanks bud 10:59 am, Wed 2 Mar
Hi, I am needing exact measurements for this rock, I notice no-one else seems to have checked this out but could be a big problem if it doesn't fit into the landscaping properly! Thought it would make a very nice present for my sister down there. Do you think she would appreciate it? Thanks, from an ex-one eyed born and bred cantabrian (currently living in Auckland). Our thoughts are with you all down there. pinky224 (56 ) 10:53 am, Wed 2 Mar
thanks you loyal one eyed bugger :-) he is 2m high, 2 m wide and about 3.5m long....and he has a HUGE butt! 11:00 am, Wed 2 Mar
Any chance you or the winner could get the Top Gear team to take it back up the hill and race it against its brothers back down again? You could also auction who should stand in front of them as they roll down. The Topp Twins? Mothers-in-law? Ken Ring and his 20 March 2011 eathquake theory? And you could sell tickets. I'll be there, with beer and other ammunition. richardp2413 (88 ) 10:59 am, Wed 2 Mar
no there is a thought - I love top Gear and they are most welcome to race rocky down to the bottom of the valley! 11:01 am, Wed 2 Mar
Nigel Latta said to tell kids that earthquakes are when the earth farts...clearly the rock was a little follow through.. constipation cannot be a problem! Seriously, I hope it doesn't take too long to sort your place out and we are all thinking of you in Chch flowerday (126 ) 11:12 am, Wed 2 Mar
haha brilliant - folks are gonna love that one 4:21 pm, Wed 2 Mar

I think you are incredible - and your auction ROCKS!! I've emailed Classic Hits a link this morning, asked them to check it out 'cos it was worth publicity - they've been mentioning it already!!! Good luck - I hope you raise HEAPS!!! mgriffin1 (43 ) 11:43 am, Wed 2 Mar
thank you very much - like I say to others laughing beats crying any time of the day. And hell, its only a house 4:23 pm, Wed 2 Mar
Bloody hell - I know him he is on his OE from Stone Henge - last time I saw him he was on the ferry going to Picton - Backpackers they are always trashing everything! I bet he drank too much again - you should see his cousins in the UK they are all over each other!! Good luck eh we are all thinking of you - great to see a bit of humour given the circumstances....... junerobinson (68 ) 11:51 am, Wed 2 Mar
one thing I learned was never take a Brit on in a drinking competition :-) 4:24 pm, Wed 2 Mar
Hi, I am interested in Rocky as an addition to my surroundings. He would be good company - silent. But I'm concerned his family may drop by unannounced, make a lot of noise and fill all available space. Have you spotted his siblings hanging around the neighbourhood? peter_jones (53 ) 12:02 pm, Wed 2 Mar
come live near us - you will get to meet the whole family 4:24 pm, Wed 2 Mar
Can we play Rock, Paper, Scissors to win the auction?? tru (35 ) 12:18 pm, Wed 2 Mar
only with cash :-) 4:25 pm, Wed 2 Mar
For schist sake, does this rock come with moss…………… ? candwanda (103 ) 12:19 pm, Wed 2 Mar
nope - he was a rolling stone so he gathered none sorry 4:25 pm, Wed 2 Mar
I myself am appalled at this, this Worldwide fan club Rocky is attracting. ATTRACTING I say. His behaviour NEEDS to be noted in all annuls of time of "How NOT to behave"...... Words truely do fail me. cktw (115 ) 12:26 pm, Wed 2 Mar
well he is pretty happy...he reckons he is gonna pull some chick with nice boulders out of this this!! 4:26 pm, Wed 2 Mar
Maybe Rocky's trying to become the new Shag Rock!!! Looks like a possible replacement. Cheers! Thanks for the smile - shakily yours and sipping martini... pennquin (182 ) 12:28 pm, Wed 2 Mar
Go that martini!!! Don't the called it Shagged Rock now? 4:27 pm, Wed 2 Mar
I don't know if I actually want to buy it, but from the photograph I think I could probably take its north face without too much trouble - any chance of an expedition 'in situ' instead of an actual purchase? I can bring all my own gear. mable (17 ) 12:41 pm, Wed 2 Mar
please do - don't forget he has a tendency to snap though! 4:27 pm, Wed 2 Mar
If I buy Rocky will ownership of Rocky confer New Zealand citizenship ? Yours in Hope Muammar Gaddafi shaun102 (1433 ) 12:51 pm, Wed 2 Mar
come on MG - we have discussed this before - you know how things work down here! And will you tell your secret service to stop using my back garden as a toilet. 4:28 pm, Wed 2 Mar
if only there was a "like" button for these comments =) rockearl (48 ) 12:55 pm, Wed 2 Mar
if only there was some means of replacing my fingers :-) 4:29 pm, Wed 2 Mar
Out of the rocks come diamonds. Thanks thenewts (30 ) 1:01 pm, Wed 2 Mar
you are welcome - and we are rough cut, conflict free ones to boot! 4:30 pm, Wed 2 Mar
Sorry, I forgot to ask: Do you allow pickups & will my wife be able to roll it into the back of our Hillman Hunter Safari Station Wagon ? candwanda (103 ) 1:01 pm, Wed 2 Mar
man - I LOVE Hillman Hunters - we used to have one when I was growing up. And oh to own a safari - you lucky punter! 4:30 pm, Wed 2 Mar
Is there any truth to the rumour that Rocky had, in keeping with his rock star lifestyle, been partying and drinking heavily in Lyttleton prior to "tripping and falling awkwardly" on his way home? There are suggestions he got into a fight with several local stone buildings after trying to get his rocks off with their girlfriends. One took particular offence when Rocky claimed his girlfriend, an interlocking stone paver, would be an easy lay! Has Rocky been tested for communicable diseases? trademedave (1 ) 1:09 pm, Wed 2 Mar
not that I am aware of - to the best of my knowledge he has given up the party seen since he was arrested for crack possession. 4:31 pm, Wed 2 Mar
As winter is arriving he is going to need some clothes. I have some Jockeys for Rockey ,stonewash Jeans, Rockport shoes and a Hard Rock tee shirt. firstbubs (121 ) 1:15 pm, Wed 2 Mar
wicked...keep that sharp thinking coming 4:32 pm, Wed 2 Mar
Im 60 and single. Could do with a partner who just rolls in and doesn't cause too much trouble once he's arrived. Do you think 59,999,40 years is too big an age difference? Will you be best man? Could we do a deal with OK magazine for exclusive rights? kiwiboz (120 ) 1:40 pm, Wed 2 Mar
I would be honoured to be best man, but to be honest Rocky Boy has his sights set on Pammy! 4:34 pm, Wed 2 Mar
Are you going to auction pebble's in the pram, She looks alot like like rocky. jul3 (122 ) 1:44 pm, Wed 2 Mar
No - that was R when he was a baby! 4:34 pm, Wed 2 Mar
Hi, I'm Danny Boyle, director of the film '127 hours'. For the sequel (127 hours 2) I will require a bigger rock than than in the first film. Do you think this one would be suitable? pleccy (41 ) 1:51 pm, Wed 2 Mar
well he has my wife's painting jammed under him at the moment so perhaps we could practice by cutting the frame off! 4:35 pm, Wed 2 Mar
Our office loves Rocky and your sense of yumour. Perhaps you could put up some signed Rocky photographs as a side auction for those a little less monied? Good luck with removing the surprise arrival too. Hope everything comes right for you and your family. padinski (118 ) 1:56 pm, Wed 2 Mar
actually - that is a great idea. Will get on to it. Remember only buy OFFICIAL ROCKY MERCHANDISE TEAM! 4:36 pm, Wed 2 Mar
You sure are one very special dude, probably knackered by answering all these questions. A couple of ideas ... for what they are worth. 1. Get a couple of unemployed, but literate commedians to help answer these thousands of questions. This auction is just starting to "rock and rumble" and will surely continue to pick up momentum. 2. If Rocky is OK with the idea, have him installed at the ChCh Airport and let all departures pay a special tax, to him Good Luck Ollie anniemerle (21 ) 2:12 pm, Wed 2 Mar
