How to increase global competitive rate of ukraine?

HOW TO INCREASE GLOBAL COMPETITIVE RATE OF UKRAINE? 

Well, this issue is quite important for us, because if we see our place in global rating, it can seriously depress our mood. Perhaps, as we are young and fresh generation, responsibility for the changes lies on our shoulders, as we can compare and think in the new direction.

1. Maybe, the first thing that I want to name is «think differently». We need to think other way, European way. But it is not enough, because for thinking we need to have a new ground that can make us confident in the future. Well, I don’t want to invent a bicycle and make a long discourse about the root of our problems, but still we need to fight against corruption. If we reduce it’s rate, more money will come to our budget. Because of this, the level of salary can rise and we can feel better. And think not only how to get more money, but to think how I can develop my personality, where can travel to discover other cultures and what can I really do for my country.

2. Find new contacts. We need to stop thinking as members of  the USSR, that there are no other friends than our close neighbors. There are a lot of lot of other European countries that have I good level of the economy and can really help us. We need to stop being dependent  on somebody, we have to show our competitiveness.

3. Develop technologies. Most of machines that are used in our industry are very old and use more energy than they should. Changing all this means to spend a lot of money, but still it’s necessary. If we do it step by step, the productivity of industry will rise, the spends on the energy for machines will decrease and the profit will become bigger. It will give us a chance to continue the development and make our products less expensive and better, so we can export them and not be afraid of losses and being laughed at.

4. Spend more money on our cities. One of the most important things to start is to change the situation with our roads. The quality is far more than just bad, it’s horrible. They not only spoil the impression of the city, but make driving a challenge and from day to day destroy our vehicles. Also redecorating some old buildings, repairing them and changing the elevators will make the situation better.

5. And the last thing to say, is to make our country more popular . We have so many things to see, so many places to visit and a great culture to discover. We need to make everybody believe that we are unique and we have a great potential. Foreigners have to see that we are not a small part of  Russia but a young independent country. And of course we need to make our prices lower because there are a lot problems with it now, on the edge of Euro 2012.
